I am a Spanish student and so I was relieved to see that the Spanish translation was very basic, just like the language in the English version. Very appropriate for ages 10 to 14, as stated.

Me resulta un poco difícil aceptar que un libro en Kindle tenga practicamente el mismo precio que un libro impreso, pero sea cual fuere la forma que llegue a tus manos creo que vale la pena leerlo. Las historias normalmente son escritas a traves o de o sobre sus protanonistas, pero este libro se sale de esa tendencia: habla de como una niña de escasos 12 años vive los finales de una de las dictaduras mas sangrientas en la historia de los pueblos americanos, la del dictador dominicano Rafael Trujillo. A mi, particularmente, me ha conmovido al punto de soltar lágrimas al final de su lectura.

Muy bien! Me alegré a leer este libro - muy informative del situación politico de la República Dominicana en 1960.

Me gusto, lo recomiendo, es un libro q nos ensena mas acerca de la tirania de un dictador en la Rep Dominicana. Senti mucho los malos momentos q vivieron estas familias tan unidas, decentes, de buena clase, solo por tratar de hacer un pais libre y digno. Que pena q haya hoy en dia, muchas situaciones parecidas a esta en tantos otros paises.... Me dejo mucho. Bertha

La historia está narrada de manera tan dulce que nos sentimos totalmente cercanos a la protagonista. La pérdida de la inocencia y la lucha por la libertad unido a un profundo amor a su familia. Aún sigo emocionada y con lágrimas en los ojos. Precioso relato

Buenísimo, se va haciendo más interesante según avanzas en la lectura. Nos muestra como era la sociedad Dominicana de ese entonces y algunos acontecimientos claves que pusieron fin, aunque por sangre, la dictadura de trujillo

Buen libro lo recomiendo
