This charming story will delight young children with a bunny story that teaches kids about better nutrition. A simple story, great pictures and a fun book to read with a favourite child. I tried it out with the child in my life, who is 9, and he enjoyed it, though he thought it was more suited to his younger sister, who is 6. However, my young friend is in Grade 3, where they are currently doing a study unit on better food choices, and he enjoyed the 'older brother' role of having his own knowledge confirmed. Though timed for Easter bunny gifts, I think this one is a perennial winner for parents tired of the demands for hot dogs/pizza pockets/mac and cheese that kids can fixate on. If you want your child (or grandchild) to gain the lifelong skill of healthful and delicious eating, you won't want to miss this book.

We are a family with some diet restrictions so healthy eating has always been a huge priority for me. I have been looking for a fun, enticing book to read with my kiddos to learn about healthy eating choices and I finally found it! I am passionate about healthy living, I have a masters degree in early childhood education and I am currently a stay at home mom to 4 (vegetarian) children under the age of 11, so I was delighted to get this book in the mail yesterday! What a beautiful, vibrant, fun book for children of all ages. I was especially excited about the pictures. I am a huge fan of this style of illustration.My father grew up farming. I think it is so important that children have an understanding and appreciation of where their food comes from. I appreciate that this book gives children this important understanding in a fun, straightforward way.I am looking forward to getting the first book, Give it a go, Eat a rainbow.

As a nutrition education and farm to school program coordinator for a public school district, I am always on the lookout for new ways to engage students with healthy eating. We had a special "Give It a Go, Eat a Rainbow" event at one of our schools and it was so wonderful to see the preschoolers getting excited about eating colorful fruits and veggies. Blake helped inspire our students to eat a healthy rainbow and Sammy the Bunny will most certainly inspire them to learn more about where those colorful foods come from. With all of the crazy "food" options these days, it is so important to have tools like this to teach kids about fruits and veggies and encourage healthy eating habits.I would highly recommend both of Kathryn Kemp Guylay's books for students in preschool and lower elementary school grades.

This is a fun picture book for preschoolers and early elementary students. It teaches children about a number of vegetables and some of their health properties in a fun and engaging way. Children will have lots of fun finding Sammy the bunny on each page. The rhyming text and pictures are great. This would be a perfect present to add to the Easter basket of your child or grandchild.

This is a great book to teach kiddos how to identify all kinds of fruits and veggies (and colors!) with cute rhyming text and bright engaging pictures little one will want to read this again and again!

My three-year-old loves the cute pictures, and interactive questions. As a dad, I like that this book teachers her the value of healthy eating. It's a fun, informative, and engaging book.
