This story in a nutshell: Big brother absolutely torments little sister (destroys her stuff, dumps food on her, paints her face while she sleeps) and makes her sad. Gets in trouble, ignores her for weeks, and makes her feel neglected and sad. He eventually reverts to his old tormenting ways, and she's happy again, because abuse = love! The End.My 4 year old loved the original PJ Funnybunny book. It's one of our favorites, but this one is super strange and really missed the mark.

Do NOT buy this book. It sends the insidious message to young girls (and the boys who harass them) that abuse shows love. The big brother's treatment of the little sister borders on physical abuse, and certainly emotional abuse. When he stops the harassment after being scolded by his parents, the little sister then feels that he no longer 'loves' her. When he begins harassing her again, she's thrilled and calls him the "the best brother a bunny could ever have!" WHAT?! For the sake of all the women and girls who are abused by 'loving' men in their lives daily, please drop this book. .

I disliked how the brother treats the sister in this book. I returned it.

Holy cow, thought it'd be cute for my little girl, but I'm Never reading that to her again.Starts out alright, about a little girl and her brother. And then it goes horribly wrong. The girl bunny gets upset by all the teasing and attacking that the boy bunny dishes out, so then he ignores her. So then she's sad he ignores her, so she decides to put up with the bad behavior because it's how he shows he loves her. What the heck?! So it's ok for girls to be abused and dumped on, and we should simply put up with it, because that's what love is?! Never again! Coming from someone who has gone through abuse, this is just a horrible book sending the wrong, seriously wrong, message,

P.J. Funnybunny books are great!! I bought them 30 years ago for my boys and now my 4yr. old granddaughter can read them. She loves them!!

What a disappointment. I love the PJ Funnybunny books, and bought them for my grandson. So when I saw this book I ordered it in good faith for my young granddaughter. But the story is so inappropriate I'd be embarrassed to give it to anyone. The jist of the story is that PJ torments his sister, for example dumping smashed carrots on her head and hiding her favorite blanket. But when his parents make him stop, she misses him. Then, when he paints polka dots on her face while she is sleeping, mom affirms it's because he really does love her. Seriously? THAT is the message we want to teach our kids in this age of bullying? It's not even funny enough for cynical adults.

Very cute book. My grandson loved it.

It wa was a great book for kids...Our 2 year old granddaughter loved it....
